Curriculum aims

At New Pastures Primary School our curriculum is designed to help each child become a caring, confident and curious young person who has a lively enquiring mind and a passion for learning and achieving. We aim for our pupils to be the very best that they can be, Our planning aims to respond to their needs and interests by enhancing individual and collaborative learning experiences, developing a positive growth mind set, a sense of responsibility and challenges that take them beyond the classroom. We believe our curriculum prepares our children well for their secondary education, inspires them to find out more about the world around them and aims to provide them with the cultural capital they need to succeed in life.

The curriculum is planned in order for us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community. It provides and acknowledges success for all children, in all aspects of their development and it recognises, encourages and celebrates all types of talent.
